Your home. Your information.

HomeGrants.ie is an independent service run by Brian Kinane T/A HomeGrants.ie. Contact info@homegrants.ie with questions about the service or your information.

What happens when you start

We use your Eircode to help with your enquiry. When you send us a WhatsApp message, we receive your WhatsApp number and the information you choose to share. Our digital assistant uses your messages and home details to explain grant options and help organise a visit. A person can take over when needed.

Who receives your information

WhatsApp, our hosting provider Render and our AI provider process information needed to deliver the service. Microsoft processes business emails for partner applications, introductions and service notices. The AI provider is Google or OpenAI, depending on the service configuration. We do not use this service to add you to advertising audiences. We store campaign labels supplied in the page link to understand which enquiries lead to visits; this page does not load an advertising pixel.

Before a visit is booked, we name the contractor and show the details. Confirming shares your name, WhatsApp number, visit address and a short summary of the work with that company so they can carry out the visit. We do not send your conversation to unrelated contractors.

If you ask us to find a partner, we first use a short anonymous summary of your county and type of work. We ask separately before sharing your name and contact details with a named company. A contractor introduction does not confirm a site visit. Your exact address and any report are not included in an introduction unless you separately agree to share them.

Reports you choose to share

You can send a BER advisory report to help us explain its recommendations. Our AI provider processes the report for that purpose. It may contain your address, BER number or meter reference. Only send a report you are entitled to share. The report does not establish grant eligibility, and we do not forward it to prospective contractors as part of recruitment.

If you apply as a contractor

We use your business and contact details, service areas and registration information to review your application, contact you about joining and manage the partnership. WhatsApp contact is a separate optional choice on the application form. You can withdraw that choice at any time. Approved partners receive secure email sign-in links for their workspace.

We may contact a relevant business about a local opportunity using a reviewed business contact source and a recorded contact basis. Invitations identify the source and include an opt-out. We keep a limited suppression record to respect requests for no further invitations. Being listed in a public register does not automatically make a business a HomeGrants partner or mean that its details can be freely reused.

The first three qualified introductions are free for an approved partner. Any subsequent introduction price is agreed before paid introductions begin. We may receive an introduction fee from the contractor. Homeowner guidance remains free, and works quotations are agreed directly with the contractor. Applying does not create a subscription or authorise a charge.

Your choices

Ask to speak to a person at any time. Reply STOP to stop automated WhatsApp messages, or contact us by email. Stopping messages does not cancel an existing appointment; tell us separately if you want to cancel it. We send service replies and appointment updates, not marketing broadcasts.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information. Contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

How long we keep it

In our assistant, unused website handoff records expire after 24 hours. Unbooked enquiries are removed after 30 days without activity. For booked visits, enquiry details and reports are retained for up to 90 days after the visit to help resolve service questions. We retain anonymous counts to understand whether the service is useful. Essential operator sign-in cookies are used only in the private workspace.

Rejected or inactive unapproved partner applications are removed after 90 days. We retain partner account details while the partnership is active and for up to 12 months afterwards; contact us to request account removal. Contractor recruitment contacts require a fresh review after 180 days. Opt-out suppression records are retained to prevent further invitations. Partner sign-in cookies last up to eight hours.

What our guidance means

We help explain official grant information. We are not SEAI, a local authority, a BER assessor or a grant approval body. The relevant scheme administrator makes the grant decision. An Eircode or a conversation cannot establish eligibility on its own.

Before booking a site visit, you see the company, date, time and any visit fee. Booking a visit does not commit you to installation work. Any quotation or works contract is agreed directly with the contractor. Contact us on WhatsApp to request a change or cancellation.

Please do not send passwords, bank details, PPS numbers or medical or welfare documents in this chat. If a scheme needs supporting documents, we will point you to its official application route.
